BookDate ("we", "us", "our") is a book recommendation app that matches you to books based on mood, tropes, tone, and emotional beats. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using BookDate, you agree to the practices described here.
We use trusted third parties to run BookDate:
Your data is stored securely on our servers. We use authentication tokens to protect your account and restrict access to your personal reading data to you (and our admins for support). While we work hard to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with the third parties listed above to the extent needed to run the service, or if required by law. We may share aggregated, non-identifying statistics (for example, total number of searches) for analytics.
BookDate is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data from our active systems. Some anonymous, aggregated data may be retained for analytics.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
